It built the foundation for how I approach production work today, since good support work depends on the same care for clarity, reliability, and communication that good engineering does.
How It Worked
I handled incoming issues from clients and internal users through email, phone, and chat, diagnosing problems and walking users through fixes.
Alongside support, I assisted in testing software updates and new features before release, and kept documentation such as user guides, FAQs, and knowledge base articles current so users could self-serve.
Key Contributions
- Logged and tracked every reported issue in the ticketing system, ensuring timely updates and closure.
- Relayed user feedback and bug reports to the development team and suggested improvements based on real usage patterns.
- Helped conduct training sessions and build training materials so users could better understand the software.
- Monitored software systems for performance issues and escalated higher-level problems to senior engineers when needed.
What I Learned
I learned how to communicate technical solutions clearly to non-technical users, how to prioritize and track issues under a ticketing workflow, and how support work directly feeds back into product quality.
This experience shaped my habit of documenting decisions and treating user feedback as a first-class input to engineering work.
